When travelling through open country a wristwatch is a useful piece of equipment. It obviously tells the time, it can be used to navigate in an emergency and it can be used to time ‘active legs’ between waypoints, all useful stuff. The wrist computer however, goes much, much further and although by no means indispensible it’s an extremely useful addition to your gear. Time
It will give you the time in hours, minutes and seconds, day, date and month. It will have a stopwatch, multiple alarms and a countdown timer.
