A part of the famous Toronto group of Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants, Jump Café and Bar is a chic New York-style bistro decorated in rich wood and leather. The outdoor patio is newly renovated and ideal for lunch or after work drinks among the office crowd in the financial district. The restaurant is brightly lit with an upscale decor and a very urban feel. The window dressing has a fun and unusual design, as if they were pictures drawn on construction paper by a six-year old. Like its sister restaurants, Jump boasts of an open concept kitchen, as well as an impressive bar and a glass ceiling that lets in an abundance of natural light. There are small tables and banquette seats that can be pushed together to form larger tables. The seating is very comfortable and not at all tight. Large lamps are located throughout to keep the restaurant brightly lit at night. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, but there is quite a buzz from conversations at neighbouring tables, which makes it a little difficult to hear among large parties.
Private and semi-private dining areas are available that can seat up to 60 for semi-private and 16 for private parties. A separate party menu of hors d’oeuvres or multi-course meals is provided for special occasions. Aside from Saturday evenings, Jump is closed on weekends for private functions. Complimentary parking is available for private dining guests.
