March 4, 1994

Bieber is born in London, Ontario, Canada. His mother, Pattie, was only 18 years-old at the time. The Biebers would later move to Stratford, Ontario- sans his father, who was MIA for the majority of his young life.

January 19, 2007

Pattie posts a video of her son singing the Ne-Yo tune So Sick at a local singing competition on YouTube. In the description of the video, she writes "I know the videos of him are dark but you can hear him and get a sense of his stage presence," hoping that someone would notice. His big break would come when industry executive Scooter Braun would stumble upon his YouTube channel and fly him out to Atlanta, Georgia to sign him.
